Title: Lexington Kentucky Police Brace for Monday Night Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 01, 2012, 07:21:24 PM Are you kidding me? I thought the UK BB fans had some class. This is ridiculous. What happens if they lose?
:o A day after raucous celebrations led to more than two dozen arrests, police said Sunday that they are ready to control crowds near the University of Kentucky's campus when the Wildcats play Kansas for the national championship. Lexington city police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts told The Associated Press on Sunday that several hundred officers will be out in force on Monday to help keep order. "We're prepared," she said. "We expect a majority of people to obey the law." Police plan a few adjustments from Saturday, when thousands of fans spilled onto streets after Kentucky defeated cross-state rival Louisville in New Orleans. Fans torched couches and overturned a car before setting it ablaze. Title: Re: Lexington Kentucky Police Brace for Monday Night Post by: bamalum67 on April 03, 2012, 07:13:24 AM I swear "fore the Almighty, I just for the life of me do not understand the mentality of all this crap..rioting because your team WON?
I just don't believe its the fact that UK won the game..it is just an excuse for stupid people, to act stupid..hey, it's spring, and all the blooming idiots come out. i think Lexington should have called in the Nat Guard and arrested all the stupids..and put them in jail so their mommies and daddies could come bail them out..or leave them to serve the sentence! And if memory serves me, we had some stupids burn down the old Ed Dept gym back in the 70's, so don't say our students can't be stupid too. What is it with Michigan and Kentucky? West Virginia does it as well. Just imagine if Bama students rioted when we won a football championship. They would be rebuilding Tuscaloosa every 2-3 years. :)

They would be rebuilding Tuscaloosa every 2-3 years. :) WV does it when they just win a game (banned now), not a championship or there would be a lot more couches in Morgantown. But they drag a couch out in the road to burn, stay warm, and have a beer party---no riot. They rolled a TV truck from Pittsburgh once, but that was just to hide the evidence from the couch burning. lolTitle: Re: Lexington Kentucky Police Brace for Monday Night Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 03, 2012, 02:24:47 PM Here's what the UK "celebration" cost one guy.
Police say doctors amputated the foot of a man who was shot in the leg during raucous celebrations in Lexington of Kentucky's NCAA basketball championship. How can someone call it a victory celebration with people losing body parts or jail time or even lives. I guess the Kentucky people are in a sickly way. RTR!
