Good start in this game. We need to make this a 5 inning game and save these pitchers for the barn.

Jury shuts 'em out in top of 5th

Game over, Bama wins 11-0

Freshman catcher, Bell, had 2 hits including a HR and threw out a steal attempt for the final out of the game. (An I was worried because our other 2 catchers are seniors)

Way to go ladies.

29-1 ain't bad

I don't think I can call a win over Longwood a good win but it is taking care of business. I like this team. 29-1 has a good ring to it.

They should be able to play the 2's a bunch tomorrow as well. I'm hoping Spencer might get to throw some, I haven't seen her pitch yet. By the way, the game starts at 12:30 p.m tomorrow.

Top of 4th

Lock gives up Homerun, Longwood leaves 2 runners on

I hope CPM has another pitcher warming up, 4 innings is about max for Locke.

Yeah, I'm glad we didn't have to use Traina today.  She should be well rested.

Another win, I hope they were looking ahead to the Barn today, because they were very flat.

I heard today that Lauren Sewell will undergo surgery this week for an ACL tear, that isn't what I wanted to hear.  :(

Jaz Luncerford suffered a nose injury today sliding in home, I don't know if it was broken or just a nose bleed. Hopefully it was the latter.  :(

Hate to hear that about Lauren Sewell.  She appeared to finally be in a position where she was going to be a strong contributor to our pitching staff.  ACL repairs are tough.

Locke and Jury are going to have to step it up a notch, and I hope yesterday was just a bad day for Traina. Locke needs to increase her stamina, she struggles after 3 innings. I thought today would be different for her because her pitch count was low, but after two outs in the 4th, she lost it. Jury is still struggling with her control, she is throwing too many pitches, which gets her in trouble in the mid-innings like Locke.

The pitcher for Longwood today could not have broken an egg if she had thrown it against a concrete wall. Bama batters looked silly in taking the big cuts and CPM finally moved them up in the batters box and they scored a few runs.

Bama goes to Auburn Tuesday for a double header and then goes to Starkville for a weekend series with the Bulldogs. They will then be off until LSU comes in for weekend series with LSU April 6th. Hopefully Bama can win the next five and be ready for LSU, that will be a BIG series.
