Title: "NCAA Enforcement Arm Considers Use of Private Investigators" Post by: Chechem on February 16, 2012, 04:39:25 AM Quote NCAA enforcement may be going private – at least private investigator. http://www.rollbamaroll.com/2012/2/15/2801175/ncaa-enforcement-arm-considers-use-of-private-investigatorsAs the NCAA’s most feared division reinvents itself, that little nugget emerged during my recent conversation with enforcement director Julie Roe Lach. She has been with the NCAA for 14 years. But it was the last 12 months or so that have been the most challenging, with seemingly a scandal a week. “Literally, if they could mobilize someone in a matter of hours as opposed to us putting someone on a plane it’s a timeliness issue,” Roe Lach said. “That, to me, is where we need to stay ahead of the curve.” :tinfoil: :tinfoil: :tinfoil: Title: Re: "NCAA Enforcement Arm Considers Use of Private Investigators" Post by: BAMAWV on February 16, 2012, 05:36:27 AM The NCAA has proven to be more heavy handed on schools that fail to self report. Therefore, any institutions with previous violations or worse yet, probation, have to be deligent in monitoring and self reporting. Schools without previous major infractions simply keep their mouths shut and hope an infraction will go away undetected.

Suppose this new plan (Private Investigators) will result in a new major at Ohio State? Maybe courses like: Criminal Justice 341 "NCAA Infractions and How to Not Find Them". It only makes me wonder just how much longer the NCAA, as it is today, will actually exist. ;) :D
Title: Re: "NCAA Enforcement Arm Considers Use of Private Investigators" Post by: Marshal Dillon on February 16, 2012, 07:21:11 PM I'm sure we can expect the NCAA to use private investigators in the most careful manner.
