Quote
2, Dee Hart, Bama RB: The Tide has to replace the great Trent Richardson, but still has Eddie Lacy. Hart, one of the nation's top recruits last year, would've pushed for playing time had he not blown out his knee and needed surgery in July. The 5-9, 187-pound Orlando product will face more than his share of fellow blue-chippers also jockeying for carries since 2013 signee T.J. Yeldon already is on campus along with Jalston Fowler and Brent Calloway. Hart doesn't quite have the lower body strength that Lacy, Richardson and Mark Ingram have, but he is a very dynamic back with good burst and terrific hands, who should spark the offense and the Tide's return game.

I think he will really be a play maker this year. If he hasn't lost a step due to the injury, and since he recovered so quickly, I don't think he has, he will be a big threat to break long runs when making it to the secondary. I see screen and flair passes in his future this year.  :popcorn2:

Dee Hart likely would have been a punt returner and receiver last year, except for the injury.  Hopefully he will return this year as an exciting, speedy player who will stretch the defenses and break some big plays.

Thanks for posting.  :popcorn2: :popcorn2:

Can a 5'9 187 pound running back take the punishment for a season in the SEC?

Bingo!! Like Cat said, he will probably be a WR/Kick returner, maybe be used in the backfield for special plays.

I can hardly wait for spring training to start to see how much these redshirts have developed since arriving on campus plus the 8 that enrolled in January.
