Title: No apology by this UA fan
Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on January 29, 2012, 12:05:08 PM
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/01/sound_off_birmingham_news_read_35.html

Quote
Two Birmingham News sports writers, Doug Segrest and Kevin Scarbinsky, along with host Mike Raita, said on ABC 33/40's The Zone recently that Alabama fans should denounce the stupidity of several obnoxious, drunk Tide fans who humiliated an LSU fan in New Orleans, as well as the Toomer's trees poisoner. That's ridiculous. I have two words for them: Personal responsibility.

There are people all over the country who want me, as an Alabama fan, to apologize because we were voted to play in the national title game, or because the game was boring because Alabama was so dominant on defense. The big one? They want me to apologize because of the winning tradition at Alabama. Well, guess what? I refuse! And I refuse to apologize for the actions of these fans.

I've never done anything like those people did. Find the idiots who do this stuff and hold them accountable! Just do not ask every person who supports the University of Alabama to be responsible for idiots and drunks. It's called personal responsibility.

To everyone asking me to apologize, this is my notice: I refuse.

Kathy Webb,

Trussville

When LSU fans apologize for a Bama fans jaw getting broken then I might think about an apology, the barn e. fifes can fall off the end of the earth.

C'mon...LSU fans have done that and worse.  They suck to the highest level and you can ask any other fan of an SEC school.  Never heard them issuing a mea culpa over the crap some of their fanbase pulls.

ok , now lets do the reverse , LSU at Alabama
"behind enemy lines" in T-Town though ...

no warning needed http://www.lsureveille.com/2.4048/video-behind-enemy-lines-ii-1.2056943#.TyXb0nKClaA

I'm not apologizing for a couple of dumb fans that are either
insane or drunk out of their minds , I didn't do anything to have to .
if there is any questions in someones mind about Alabama fans and
how we act , what we are like or how we treat other fans or people ?

I suggest they get on the WWW and click on Crimson Red Sports.com
spend a little time visiting and talking , then make a decision

Did LSU denounce their QB when he kicked a man in the head during a bar room brawl?  ;)

Them asking for Bama fans to denounce these buffoons is nothing more than an underhanded insinuation that these guys are typical of the Bama fan base. That's what chaps my hackneys.  >:(

The victim is going to address this as soon as he gets out of alcohol rehab.

well both my seesturs and my baby nephew  I remember vividly my sister calling and being ticked that they were tigerbaiting her baby.  Freaky just watching a video and seeing your relatives unexpectedly.

I know I had a hard time getting a capture of my other sister- and of course the shy one was smack dab in the middle.   ;D

thanks  :-* they are a great family- super lucky to have such a nice family when you hear the crazy stunts some people's family pulls.

PS I also remember my sister after the game saying "they weren't tiger baiting when we left".  Alabama won that day- ROLL TIDE!

Well in the case of my nephew, I think he was 10 or 11 at the time...but you know how us mama's are.  My 5 year olds are still "the babies" and probably will be until they give me some grandbabies.  Drives the hubby crazy because he's trying to make a man out of them and I'm trying to put a brick on their head and keep them little.

I know, but WV asked who would do it, and I figured they would do that to their poor baby as well.
