Title: is there a POSITIVE form of PTSD??
Post by: MLB10 on January 10, 2012, 08:53:25 PM
Every time it gets quiet or I can get still, I hear the Million Dollar band playing RAMMER JAMMER or Yea Alabama in my ears.  It is awesome!  I was thinking tonight that I'm sure many an LSU player is feeling the same way...except they ain't so happy bout it.  I'm sure this will eat at them.  The question is, will they fold like a cheap suit (a la Jordan Jefferson) or will they rise to the challenge like our team did last night????

Whatchall think?

I was about to start a new thread about the impact of the game & loss on LSU, but I decided to add on here. (Honestly, you might want to change the thread's title for the sake of clarity.)

Look at what happened to TX after Bama beat them.  They still haven't recovered.  A loss like this can stick in the psyche of a team/program and it takes strong leadership to overcome the lingering bad feeling.  The Hat said he "didn't see this coming."  That's quite a statement and he must feel inadequate in some way.  Can he shake it off??

And then recruiting.  How "up" can these guys be as they entertain recruits in the next three weeks??  They can't pretend the game didn't happen.  What will be their tone & demeanor when talking to recruits?  Just wondering....

It will be interesting to see how they do next year.  I don't expect a Texas style melt down.  ESPN already has them #1 in the way to early poll for 2012.  We will see if they live up to those expectations.  It can go either way.  They might come back with a vengeance like 2009 Bama did with Florida.

They have to even feel some sort of embarrassment to bring up the Nov 5 game. Bama didn't come out after our loss and say, "We won but beat ourself". I maybe touched on it with LSU friends. But gave congratulations where congrats were due.

Not anymore. Please bring up that Nov. 5 game, you nutria eating retards!

They have a lot of depth, huge numbers in freshmen and sophomore classes this year.  But they don't have an obvious QB.
