NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - Tackling? Kirby Smart's worried about tackling?

Of all the things that concern the Alabama defensive coordinator, the guy who tutors such knockdown artists as Courtney Upshaw and Dont'a Hightower, tackling tops the list?

Knock me over with a feather.

"I'm scared to death to have a poor tackling game" in the BCS Championship Game, Smart said during his last visit with the media Saturday.

His reasoning? Fear of injury forces coaches to limit tackling in bowl practice. Tacklers get rusty. That helps explain the flood of points in bowl games this season.

Smart didn't stop there.

He said that Alabama didn't stop explosive LSU receiver Rueben Randle in their first meeting in November. LSU did by not throwing to him much.

What in the world has happened to Scarbo-- like anyone cares. Finally he writes something worth reading and everyone that matters hates his guts too much to bother reading it (LOL). Now I am thinking Scarbo has some underhanded plan for writing this.

We'll see the most physical game any of us has ever seen. We'll see a clinic in blocking and tackling. We'll see the better blockers and tacklers get it done in the end, and we'll see Alabama win 17-16.

One play will be the difference. Something tells me McCarron and Trent Richardson will make that play.

oh my   :o
wait until the never to yield boys read this

JJ is full of something too.  I hope we knock it out of him pretty quick.
