Title: Defensive plan?
Post by: bama87 on January 06, 2012, 07:57:48 PM
With JJ being a quick pull it down and run type. I could see us pulling out the Tebow D. Do not rush past the qb in order to give him run lanes. That said the D front will need to be strong to free up LBs to spy. Any and all thought welcome.

I think this is a good strategy.

Good point.  I'd forgotten about this d-scheme.  Feel sure JJ will be accounted for in the d-assignments.  Hope we are able to put some big hits on him.

I just watched a highlight clip of JJ pulling one down and running up  the middle. Maybe in the 1st game. But I'll bet CNS has some plan for spying him. It just always seems that the best plan--our usual plan A-- is to collapse the OL on the QB. Then it seems, he is scrambling on OUR terms and not his. It is a little harder to do though, against their OL.

I'm hopeful, CNS and the team was watchin the Cotton Bowl. KSU's QB had some good runs...bottled up and sacked on a few more, soo my feelings are that there has been enough film between the two, to figure out the scheme, and hopefully...a remedy. :popcorn2:
