Title: Corey McCarron will transfer to Alabama and join older brother AJ McCarron
Post by: pmull on December 29, 2011, 09:11:25 AM
McCarron's younger brother, Corey McCarron, said Thursday he will transfer to Alabama in January and walk-on to the football team.

Corey (6-0, 240 pounds) was a freshman tight end at South Alabama last season. He said the reason for the move is a desire to play football with his older brother.

The Jaguars announced Wednesday the hire of new offensive coordinator Robert Mathews. He replaced Greg Gregory, who was fired after three seasons.

Mathews said Wednesday he intends to implement a spread offense. Alabama's pro-style offense is more conducive for tight ends often utilizing two of them at times.
