Title: Daily Scripture 12/12/11 Spiritual Warfare
Post by: ricky023 on December 12, 2011, 12:17:13 PM
"Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The shield of faith is the very act of taking Christ into your heart in order to be able to withstand any warfare brought on you by the enemy. Think about the fiery darts of warfare, that is what Satan throws at us in the way of all the resistance against us in our pursuit of Glory on behalf of our Lord.
The helmet of our salvation is equal to the helmet of soldiers who fight wars, they won't try to fight without a helmet. We should try to fight without our helmet which is the same as the Word of God. The sword of the Spirit is the Word of God also. We could could never move or advance without our Sword of the Spirit.
 Praying always; i.e. in every opportunity, so often as our own or others' necessities call us to it.  In the Spirit; either our own spirit, with which we pray, so as not to draw nigh to God with our mouth only, as Isa 29:13; or rather, the Holy Spirit of God, by whose assistance we pray.
With all perseverance; constancy and continuance in prayer in every condition, adverse as well as prosperous, though prayer be not presently answered. We have to wait sometimes. And supplication for all saints; not only for ourselves, but for our brethren in the world, none being in so good a condition but they may need our prayers. We must remember to pray for others so they to make have warfare strength. God Bless!

Father hallow your name above all names. We want to Praise you in anyway we can Lord, and to glorify with our hearts, minds, and souls. Bless our members Oh Lord, and forgive us our sins and inequities. Blessed be your name on all lips. God Bless, We pray in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. AMEN
