Are the defenses in the SEC as good as advertised or is it the lack of offensive fire power in the conference that allows them to be ranked as high as they are?

The SEC defenses are really that good.  When the Gamecocks played the sons of Clem, we held them to 158 total yards.  Their worst output prior to that was somewhere around 360 yds.  They  averaged nearly 500 yards per game on offense.
