Title: Daily Devotional 12/2/11 Ataching to Jesus
Post by: ricky023 on December 02, 2011, 12:25:54 PM
"John 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

Jesus being the Vine, first should show good fruit ahead. He is the strength, and living water we need to grow. He says we are the branches. How do we become part of his vine, only by growing into him and he into us. This verse describes to us that, if we abide in him and he abides in us, then we will do what he wants to do and not what we want to do because he is the dominating Vine.
If you say I am of his Vine and do not the things he says do, then you might be making a judgement foolishly. You can not be of the world and do the worldly things and be of another type of vine such as the one of the Lord Jesus. We learn up front we can not do anything with him.

Heavenly Father thank you for the privilege to call upon your name. We want to be a part of your vine and do as you do help us oh, Lord. Lord you know the names of those who have left here coming home. We desire your help to their families. In the Name of Jesus I pray. AMEN
