A prominent Texas A&M alumnus with strong ties to the Aggies’ athletic department said this afternoon that the decision was made today. A&M’s board of regents did not vote on the issue, but have discussed this since A&M’s 27-25 loss to Texas on Thanksgiving night. “The decision was made today,” the source said. Title: Re: Texas A&M has decided to fire football Mike Sherman Post by: Jamos on December 01, 2011, 05:57:25 PM Those Aggies know that if you 're gonna play in the SEC you have to play for 60 minutes, not 30. They blew a lot of games this year in the second half.

Quote Report: Texas A&M to fire Mike Sherman As more and more coaches have been relieved of their duties in the last week, many people were wondering whether or not Texas A&M's Mike Sherman would survive the week. Well, while we haven't officially heard anything from Texas A&M about it, it doesn't sound like he will according to the Austin American-Statesman's Kirk Bohls. Bohls tweeted on Thursday night that Texas A&M has decided to fire Sherman, though the school has not yet notified him. Not saying the man doesn't know football, but I question his ability to identify with and motivate young men 18-22. Moreover, I never thought he could go into a living room and sell A&M and himself to a 17yo and his parents.
Title: Re: Texas A&M has decided to fire football Mike Sherman Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on December 01, 2011, 07:34:39 PM Quote BFeldmanCBS Bruce Feldman The Texas A&M firing of Sherman means there will be quite the bidding war for the coaching services of Kevin Sumlin very soon. 5 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply Early this week a tentative 2012 football schedule was floated out of the SEC offices about TAM games next year with all SEC west opponents and an east! Road to trips to Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge and Gainesville for an Eastern foe. Also maybe one to Little Rock. Coach Mike Sherman should consider himself a lucky man and walkout with the buyout monies!
