Hi all - I am so super excited!  My daughter and son in law are expecting!  It's been a long road for them but today they passed the first trimester! I've had to be mum until now - she wouldn't allow anyone to be told until today. She had an appointment today and supposedly the doctor saw enough to declare "it's a boy!"!! (how they can tell at 3 months I don't know but she was fairly certain!)  Anyway - just had to share the news because of all the support and prayers you all offered last spring when she lost the baby.

Congrats, Terrie! Is this the first grandchild?

My husband's children have 3 children between them. BUT we have never been given much room to be involved in the grandchildrens lives..
Both of us (husband and I) are excited because my daughter is very much involved with us and wants us to be involved. So while I do have 3 others, we don't know them and aren't really allowed a relationship (except when their birthdays are coming or Christmas). It's a sad situation and I know one day, they will realize what they have allowed the kids to miss.

Probably more info than you asked for but a simple yes or no wouldn't work. :)

Thank you!  Now all I have to do is convince my son in law that he really REALLY needs to finish his post Doc work down south! :)  I'm pushing for Birmingham, Gainesville or Nashville. At least all of those are within a days drive! :)
