Title: If your son was a college prospect.... Post by: hscoach on November 23, 2011, 09:50:05 PM Would you allow PSU in your house to recruit him?

I think once the BOT rid of all & any remaining entities related to the mess, maybe. I think they are truly trying to clean everything up. If they recruit a coach who has a good reputation with no skeletons in the closet, maybe. But too much damage has been done. If I'm being recruited by several quality universities, including PSU, I'm going with somebody else. Title: Re: If your son was a college prospect.... one of my daughters wanted to go to Michigan , nipped that too . but then , grandpaw use to say "if you live north of the Florida line you're a yankee it stuck , btw grandpaw was from Geneva , Alabama ... Lol Title: Re: If your son was a college prospect.... Post by: Marshal Dillon on November 23, 2011, 10:28:11 PM Would you allow PSU in your house to recruit him? No way. They have too many problems right now. Same goes for Ohio State, Florida, & Texas. If my son was say a 4 star, it would depend on which side of the ball he plays. If he's a defensive guy, I would recommend LSU & Alabama. If he's an O guy, I recommend Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, & maybe USC. This is assuming I'm a dad from some place like Missouri or Kentucky. :D Title: Re: If your son was a college prospect.... If you are asking if my son was old enough to be recruited right now...the answer is no. Since he is 5 years old, and it will be another 12-13 years, maybe depending on the handling of the situation right now. But if he had a Bama offer I probably would not let anyone else throught he door anyway.
I worked a wreck a while back in Wicksburg Alabama. We called for mutual aid to asisst extricating a woman form a car that had been t-boned. One of my other medic rode in with Wicksburg to assist with patient care. While waiting for the medic to finish his paper work we were kinda hanging out in the E/R when the State Trooper (who was new and not form this part of Alabama) asked me, "Which Ambulance service brought the patient in?" I replied "Wicksburg." " How do you spell that?" "W-I-C-K-S-B-U-R-G." "Oh, thanks." Then I could resist. " Trooper, you don't write many tickets in Andalusia do you? I bet you wait to the get into Opp before you pull them over!!!" Everyone busted out laughing, except the trooper that is. Title: Re: If your son was a college prospect.... I think the job requirements dictate that you be narcissistic and anal. Title: Re: If your son was a college prospect.... Post by: cbbama99 on November 25, 2011, 10:44:54 AM First to answer the OP. Mine is just a little younger than your boy (4 1/2), so MAYBE when he was old enough I would allow it, but not if he was of age right now. Besides, like you, said it all goes out the window if Tide offers. Title: Re: If your son was a college prospect.... Post by: KoKoPuf on November 26, 2011, 09:26:00 AM Of course I would allow PSU to recruit my son. Sandusky is gone, Paterno is gone and soon the entire coaching staff will be gone. And what if Saban took the PSU job? Are you going to ban him from recruiting your son?
