Title: Be Thankful For All You Have, Extend Blessings To Those Less Fortunate
Post by: BAMAWV on November 21, 2011, 05:33:40 PM
The biggest game of the year is here. Thanksgiving is NOT just about turkeys and football but enjoying family and offering hospitality for those less fortunate (barners).  Imagine the looks on your barner neighbors when you show up at their door, with arm loads of old clothing you and your family have outgrown or no longer wear.  Bring them a turkey,- maybe giving a hand showing them how to roast it. Offer to give their kids or even Dad if he isn't working, odd jobs at your house, earning extra money for bills or food.  Offer to help by bringing your weed eater and mower and such, cleaning up the mess (don't say eyesore) they call a front yard.  If their car is in good working order, offer to buy them a little extra gas. Windex for the windows,--the list goes on and on.  Be sure to bring your camera,-- capturing the moment to share with your e-buddy--BAMAWV.
Hope THIS helps.

Many years ago all of the above mentioned was a given, a neighbor then is much different than the neighbor of today. I have so much to be thankful for, so Thanksgiving is very special at our home.

I think we should sing a extra Rammer Jammer or two
and point out the 56-0 score board to them would be a nice touch

Guess I did read it wrong if it was intended for the Barn.

#+ to Jamos for having a big heart--I AM serious this time. But if bringing your yard tools over to your barn neighbor to clean up his yard doesn't start a fist  fight, your wife offering to show Mrs. barner how to cook will. HTH
