STARKVILLE, Mississippi - Barrett Jones' streak of 10 consecutive starts ended Saturday when Alabama traveled to Mississippi State.

Jones has been battling a few injuries this season. The latest is a right ankle injury he suffered during the Crimson Tide's 9-6 overtime loss to LSU on Nov. 5.

Alabama coach Nick Saban said Jones didn't play because "we didn't feel like he could be affective. We're hopeful he'll be back next week, but he'll still be day-to-day."
