Title: Paul Finebaum
Post by: bama87 on November 09, 2011, 01:58:16 PM
So I was watching the documentary on ESPN last night. Why did they give so much air time to that idiot. Surely there are other sports talk guys in Alabama. I won't even get into Harvey Updyke. It made us all look bad. I know it's done for tv and I probably just answered my question, but seriously why do people listen to him?

I did not watch it last night. I expected it to either make us look bad or try to make the barn look like our equal. Either way I wanted no part of it.

Though I don't always care for the format of his show with the ridiculous callers, Finebaum is easily the most intelligent sports host in the state.  If you have a national program and want an audio/video media host to come in and discuss an issue related to sports in the state of Alabama, he's a no brainer.

That maybe true, but I thought they spent too much time time with him. I wanted to hear more from the players on both sides about the rivalry.

I didn't see the show, but I can understand that opinion.

Ol Harvey has gone past his 15 minutes of fame. Time to move on.

you got that right ...
he even compared himself to a player that came off the bench and tackled a TD scoring ball carrier
even used the term "I guess I'm too full of Bama"
