Title: Alabama LB Dont'a Hightower named semifinalist for Lott IMPACT Trophy Post by: pmull on November 09, 2011, 12:51:43 PM Alabama junior Dont'a Hightower was named Wednesday a semifinalist for the eighth annual Lott IMPACT Trophy.
The trophy is named after Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott, and is intended to equally award athletic performance and character. Hightower is the lone SEC player among the semifinalists. CU had a scrape in the last couple of years that may have been an issue with the selection committee. But I recently read an article here in which others close to that incident painted an entirely different picture. JMO but CU NOT jumping up and down screaming about getting a raw deal may even FURTHER indicate his good character. The other troubling incident in CU's life was likely a family matter and he may have responded no differently than the rest of us would.Congrats Dont'a! Anyway,..."Roll Tide" and "Good Luck" to DH! He has to really take over these last 3 games or he won't win. It is sad sort of that after we lose the media is going to watch certain people on each play of the game. RTR!
