TUSCALOOSA - In five home games this season, Alabama opponents have scored touchdowns on an alarming 75 percent of their red-zone opportunities.

So how is the second-ranked Crimson Tide even going to stay on the field Saturday night against top-ranked LSU?

Wait. There's hope. Opponents have had only four red-zone opportunities in those five games. And one of those was a result of an interception return to the 3-yard line. That means Alabama's defense has allowed three drives inside the 20-yard line in those five games. Two Southeastern Conference opponents - Vanderbilt and Tennessee - never reached the red zone.

There. Now you have it. The very, very, very last statistic we can report before a 7 p.m. showdown Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
