We have snow-making at the ski resort here but the weather has to cooperate some. The temps don't have to be exactly 32 degrees (if the humidity is low), but very close. Unless they are using some kind of polymers or who knows what, like packing peanuts. Normal snow-making just control the oxygen-water mix to make snow. Additives are in the water supply only to make it congeal a little. You still need 30-34 degrees ??? ???or white astro turf? Maybe the snow is made in a refrigerated truck and blown on one end while being shoveled out the other, but that just seems crazy.
