Bryant-Denny Stadium fills with 101,000 seven Saturdays every fall. To the players, they can be a sea of nameless, faceless fans, one indistinguishable from the next. That's where Emily Heisler's third-grade class comes in. They make it real. From their desks at Mt. Laurel Elementary School just outside Birmingham comes a weekly reminder of the impact this sport has on the next generation.
