Many of our younger posters never got to see this special bunch play. They definitely set a high standard.

Offenses are so multiple these days that 1961's total yardage allowed standard is practically impossible to meet, although the 2011 squad is holding teams to less rushing yards than that 61 squad.

But it seems to me the bottom line on D's is points allowed. This season is far from over, but they have the chance to be included in the same conversation with the '61 team. Someone (55) said today what a great time to be alive and a Bama fan.
