Title: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: Chechem on October 11, 2011, 05:16:56 AM Quote According to Muschamp, Brantley will continue to be sidelined as the Gators take on Auburn. :( He may be broken real bad. http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/10/brantley-to-miss-game-against-auburn-too/ Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: SeniorTSM on October 11, 2011, 07:52:52 AM UF vs The Bran is a toss up. Both are not very good, Both have speedy RB's, and Both have QB's that might make one play a game. (although UF is on the third stirng and AU has a Senior starter)
I think the Barn wins only because of Dyer. Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: SUPERCOACH on October 11, 2011, 10:31:13 AM If they play Trey Burton at QB, I think he might have a surprisingly good game against Auburn. He was in line to be the next big thing at QB under CUM, but had to move around some once CCW came in and they abandoned the spread for a pro style offense. If they put in a mini-spread to make the best use of the people they have left, with him at QB and Demps and Rainey taking turns I think they could run all day on Auburn.

The barn will stack the box and force Florida to throw like they did USCe. Burton is a good runner but can he force the barn to respect the passing threat? If Florida can pass at all they win. I think Florida has a decent defense. I think Florida has a decent defense. "Stacking the box" won't work well against UF. They have an outside game, not inside. Still, UF must be able to throw effectively to win. Should have said the barn will attempt to stop the run and force Florida to throw. Is Demps going to be back for the barn game? Rainey and Demps are more effective when they are in the game together. Demps is day-to-day. But UF seldom gives updates on injuries. I'm guessing he'll play. http://sportsdirect.usatoday.com/football/ncaaf-injuries.aspx?page=/data/ncaaf/injury/injuries.html Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: BAMADCHAMPSHIPS on October 11, 2011, 02:56:28 PM I think UF will be too fast for the barn. I think UF's D is better geared to play them. Just my two cents that doesn't make much since.
Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 11, 2011, 03:01:30 PM Auburn is living on luck again. They get a huge break having a hungover QB against them against USC and now they face a team with freshmen QB's. What next, the entire LSU defense gets food poisoning two hors before the game against the Barn?
:dunno: Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: Jamos on October 11, 2011, 03:08:32 PM The best thing for Auburn is they get Florida after Bama and LSU has just demolished them, Florida has to be a battered team physically.
Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: Tidewest on October 11, 2011, 04:16:59 PM Florida's offence vs the Barns should be a draw. I would give the Fl. defense the edge. I have to give the luck break edge to the Barn(they are right up there with Notre Dame in that catagory). So it should come down to who wins the turn over battle. Go Gators
Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: ricky023 on October 11, 2011, 05:35:30 PM Can Charlie Weis use Burton in his simple offense to make plays and win field position? The defense might hold AQuburn down some. Auburn running and passing game is nothing close to LSU or Alabama. RTR!
Title: Re: "Florida's Brantley to miss game against Auburn, too" Post by: XBAMA on October 11, 2011, 08:44:09 PM Gus Malzahn is accustom to having his "O" at the top of the list in College football
currently au is ranked 80th ... not first or near first like Gus is known for ... the gators D should be ok against the 80th ranked O in the country don't ya'll think ? |
