Title: Zogby Poll - Cain Leads Romney by 20 Points: Will the Tortoise or Hare Win? Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on October 07, 2011, 04:52:37 PM http://img.ibtimes.com/www/articles/20111007/227265_herman-cain-leads-mitt-romney-zogby-poll-republican-presidential-race.htm
Quote Herman Cain holds an astounding 20-point lead over Mitt Romney in a poll of Republican primary voters released Thursday, and he is in a statistical tie with President Obama. The Zogby Poll, which was conducted from Oct. 3-5, found that 38 percent of Republicans would vote for Cain, a Georgia businessman, if the primary elections were held today. Mitt Romney had 18 percent support, and Rick Perry and Ron Paul were tied with 12 percent support each. The rest of the candidates were in the low single digits, with Newt Gingrich and Jon Huntsman claiming 4 percent support each, Michele Bachmann 3 percent, Rick Santorum one percent and Gary Johnson less than one percent. Cain received 46 percent to Obama's 44 percent in a hypothetical matchup. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.5 percentage points, making the race a statistical tie. Post by: BAMAWV on October 07, 2011, 05:04:04 PM Most of these "snapshot" polls have a limited survey size (3-400). They give a hint as to trends, but not very reliable for forecasting eventualities such as the winner of a primary.
When phone polling is done during the day, it'll give a completely different read than at night, because during the day, Republicans are at WORK. LOL--no, seriously. I still think Zogby and Rasmussen are more accurate than Gallup and the other main stream media polls. Rasmussen has started a pay to view results for his polls. He had been tweeting the results with the story, now there is a subscription charge. Title: Re: Zogby Poll - Cain Leads Romney by 20 Points: Will the Tortoise or Hare Win?
