But they should be ashamed of themselves for what they are doing to the loved ones he left behind. Do they really think this is what God wants them to do? They must serve a different god than mine, because the one I know would not be too happy about them being so disrespectful to the family during their time of mourning. Their actions will not lead anyone to accept Christ, and will push many people away. To be honest, this sounds like something the Pharisees would do if they were around today. JMHO. Harley Davidson riders have been blocking them from getting to close to the funerals.
The supreme court ruled it was their right. Mar 3, 2011 – Supreme Court rules 8-1 in favor of Westboro Baptost Church's right to protest funerals. If you are celebrating something like that, then you obviously are not a believer. Every Christian knows what awaits those who do not put their faith in Christ, and that should saddened you and make you want to reach out to every one who doesn't believe and plead for them to know Christ.
Didn't mean to get all preachy, and if this needs to be moved to Canterbury I understand, but I had to get that off my chest. Those people are definitely not following that instruction because the pain they inflict on the family/friends of the deceased is a bad thing, not good. They would do well to try and understand that verse better...
