Step 1. Divide both sides by 4 4n/4 = 3.60/4 Now simplify. On the left side the 4/4 equals 1 so you have 1 X n, or simply n. n = 3.60/4 Now just simplify the right side by doing the division. 3.60/4 = 0.9 which leaves you with: n = 0.9 Title: Re: need algebra help.. What happens if they get tricky and rearrange the answers? Title: Re: need algebra help.. Post by: BAMAWV on October 04, 2011, 09:50:27 PM Step 1. Divide both sides by 4 4n/4 = 3.60/4 Now simplify. What happens if they get tricky and rearrange the answers? Give a girl the answer and she gets an A for the day. Teach her to solve the problem and she gets an A for a lifetime. And if she gets hungry you can give her a fish or something. Or she can just buy a fish with all the money she will earn with her first class CRS education. HTH Title: Re: need algebra help.. Post by: BAMAWV on October 05, 2011, 05:04:42 AM For a teacher who is paid to write math test, it seems it would occur to them to use:
A) B) C) D) rather than: A. B. C. D. Because the period in the lettering may inadvertently be mistaken for .9 (as an example) as opposed to 9. MHO Title: Re: need algebra help..
