I wonder how this will affect the A Day game?  :-\

Thumb injuries typically don't heal quickly, depending on exactly what the injury is. This will likely slow his progress regardless, maybe giving Jalen a leg up in the spring.

Come to think of it, Tua is naturally right-handed.  His father had him switch to lefty.  During an interview Tua said he does everything else right handed.

Just thinking...

From Chris Low:

“I talked to some people over there. There was concern initially; I know there was some swelling,” Low said on the air. “The latest information I have is he is going to be out for part of the spring, but they do expect him back before the spring is over. So, we’ll see, I know he was getting checked out today. Sometimes, that can be a fluid situation. I don’t think it’s one of those situations where he could miss, now things can change, the entire spring. We’ll see how it all plays out.”

This could be okay.  Tua still participates in conditioning and learning; he simply doesn't play a full role.  It might give Hurts the experience he needs to "see the field", and give the two of them an opportunity to form a partnership.  Instead of battling for the top, Hurts is handed the position for now, and Tua earns it back later.  Meanwhile they work together.  Nobody likely to leave town in that scenario.

Well it don't sound as bad as it did at first. Chris Low usually pretty trust worthy. RTR!

The hand injury Tua Tagovailoa suffered Tuesday is believed to just be a sprain and he should be able to return to practice in at least a limited capacity at some point soon, sources told AL.com.
