My question is not a QB but who will replace Karl Dunbar at DL coach? RTR!

Save that for another thread, Preacher.

This QB seems like a quality player:
"Gardner Minshew threw for 1,486 yards and 10 touchdowns over the team's final four games. During that stretch, he had two games with more than 440 yards and another with 351 yards.
Minshew led Northwest Mississippi Community College to a national championship in 2015."

Only question is, "Why did he leave ECU?"  Hopefully it's not because of a violation.

Your right Chechem thanks. I did leave the subject and I should not. I do however wonder why we have a push for a QB when we have 2 NCG QB's? RTR!

We need 3, and the chance to add a talented QB with experience is too good to pass up.

I searched and found that he is leaving ECU due to "family matters"; too vague to help understand the reason.  Nothing negative said about him by ECU folks.

Looks like a good pick-up if we can get him.  I have a friend up in Virginia that I see every October that is an ECU alum.  If we get this kid I'll have to (https://bullgatorslounge.com/images/smilies/poke.gif) him a little bit...   :lol2:

Well we know (probably) what Saban was hinting about, a graduate transfer QB.

I didn't see anything negative about him either.  "Family matters" sounds like someone in the family is sick or in other distress.  He is from Brandon, Mississippi, which is much closer to Tuscaloosa than ECU (west of Meridian down I-20), and he has his college degree from ECU.  I hope it works out for him.

Folks at ECU forum were hinting that Minshew used that excuse to get a release from the university.  But they were speculating.  Coaches said he was welcome back if he changed his mind.

This guy hasn't decided to come to Bama yet so let's not put him on the roster.  Are there other schools after him?  LSU??  Arky??  UF??

However this plays out, I hope it leaves a clear path to being our starting QB for Tua's younger bro.  To me, that's where this needs to be headed.

True, he hasn't decided yet.
But he has only one year, so he'll be gone if/when little bro arrives.
