UTA is missing nothing. They are red hot and lead 26-18. We had cut it to 4 on a Norris 3, but they are hitting everything they throw up.

We are being outplayed right now. UTA up 35-25.

3:58 in the half and UTA still up by 10. D has to step it up if we are to have a chance.

UTA lead cut to 46-41 with 41 seconds left in the half.

Halftime and 46-41. We still can't make free throws. UTA is shooting 63% thus far.

Hervey for UTA is 6-6 from the field with 3 threes. Sexton caught a little fire toward the end of the half to cut the lead and has 15 points. Petty has 6 points, Norris and Ingram have 5.

51-48 UTA. If someone could guard Hervey, we might win this thing.

Bama finally takes the lead 54-53. Time out.

Bama with a 66-60 lead now. UTA committing several offensive fouls have helped our cause. Just wish we could hit some FTs.

3:55 left in the game. Bama up 72-65. Getting it done pounding it down low. Three pointers haven't been falling for the most part.

2 quick 3 pointers and Bama turnovers have cut the lead to 72-71. Let's see what we're made of down the stretch.

Sexton hit a floater and got fouled but missed the FT to make it a 5 point lead. UTA hits a 3 out their azz to cut it to 1 with 19 seconds left.

Horrible 5 second call by the refs.  >:( >:( >:(

Wow!!! Bama holds on for a 77-76 win over UTA. Make no mistake about it, UTA is a VERY good team. This was a very good win for Bama.

That was an excellent team we just beat.

UTA is one of those Mid-Major teams full of seniors that are very difficult to play. That was a good win for our young team.

Sexton had 29 points and is the star we hoped he would be. His only shortcoming was missing threes, but Petty and everyone else was anemic beyond the arc as well. Have to give it to AJ Jr though, he made the three that put us ahead for the first time.

Nice win against a quality opponent. Our freshman against their seniors. Good stuff. Hervey for UTA will be in the NBA next year without a doubt.

Bama goes to 4-0.

Great win v UTA.   They were hot, especially in the first half.  Bama relaxed just slightly at the end and let them make it a nail biter by hitting two 3s followed by a final possession after a 5 sec violation.

Bama's young players hopefully learned that it's not over till it's over, and to keep up momentum to finish the game, without the loss that easily could have resulted.   :clap:

Maybe Bama's young players learned they need to practice FTs.

Well it seems we are in a position that we are winning some games where last year we lost them. I am extremely happy with where we are even though we have a lot of growing to do. RTR!
