Not sure I've heard of the Scripps Legends Poll, but I approve of their decision.

I approve of this poll.

One thing that might be  :deadhorse: is that time is on our side.  As long as we stay healthy, our team gets better.  The only weakness in Alabama, and the reason they were ranked 3rd preseason, was lack of experience at QB.  Every win strengthens that position, and we all know that a trait of Coach Saban's teams is improvement through the season.  Not necessarily so in teams without good discipline.  Barring injuries, by season's end we know we'll be even better; others not so much.

From old 50-50 hindsight himself.

Quote
"This Alabama football team, to me, is basically identical to the one they won the national championship with in 2009," pollster and former Auburn coach Pat Dye said of his former archrival. "You know, they're not asking (quarterback A.J.) McCarron to win games. They're just asking him to manage them. And defensively, I don't know how you can get any stronger than they are."
