2. Georgia 3. Ohio State 4. Wisconsin If they playoff committee has it that way Tuesday, expect an epic meltdown all over the college football world. :lol2: Title: Re: "Alabama remains in top spot of different-looking top-5" Post by: Chechem on October 29, 2017, 04:43:20 PM 1. Oklahoma should be up there too. Of course Bama and Georgia will be in the top 4. Georgia is scary. However, Bama and UGA could meet in SECCG ranked #1 and #2, and the looser could drop to #4 with the winner being #1. I think that would mean a rematch in the first round of the playoffs. Wouldn't that be a kick! Title: Re: "Alabama remains in top spot of different-looking top-5" Post by: 2Stater on October 29, 2017, 05:13:01 PM The monkey wrench in all of this, down the road, is that Ga and Bama both have to play the barn in Auburn. No telling what could happen there. I think Bama and Ga are both more talented than the barn, but Auburn at home has been very good this year. Could mess up the SECCG recipe.

RTR! UGA would still go since Auburn is from the west. That means UGA would have the tie-breaker over all of the east teams. I suppose if you get into a 3 way tie there might be a scenario where they don't go. I am only speaking in general terms here, this would only come into play if there are other east teams that only have 1 conference loss. The way it is set up you can lose one conference game to someone from the other division as long as you beat everyone in your division.
