Title: Gatorsports: Florida prepares for Alabama Post by: pmull on September 25, 2011, 05:47:34 PM “We’re 4-0. We’re pleased with where we are,” Muschamp said after Saturday night’s 48-10 win at Kentucky. “We’ve got a lot of things we still need to improve on. We cleaned up some things.”
First up for the Gators in their October gauntlet is big bad Bama, which routed Florida 31-6 last season in Tuscaloosa and is off to another impressive start. The Gators also entered that game 4-0. “We just worry about Florida,’’ Muschamp said. “Really, at the end of the day, we’re going to take care of the University of Florida. We’re going to be fine versus everybody we play. Starting with Alabama.’’ http://www.gatorsports.com/article/20110925/ARTICLES/110929668/1136?Title=Florida-prepares-for-Alabama Title: Re: Gatorsports: Florida prepares for Alabama Post by: #1Tidefan on September 25, 2011, 06:03:38 PM Some of the views from their fans...interesting to say the least...
Rainey and Demps will be the key though. Re: Bama has been too tough for us here lately Postby mrgator » Sun Sep 25, 2011 8:11 am I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see us beating Bama. Unless Weis is still holding the passing game back because he hasn't had to show much with Rainey and Demps tearing it up. I hope that's the case but I'm not holding my breath. I also didn't like how sluggish our dline played for much of that 1st half against UK. And outside of Bostic, I thought our LB's had their worst game when I've usually been very high on them. Maybe I'm letting the past 2 years of shalacking by Bama cloud my ability to look at the positive side. I think our best chance to win is to have our Oline come out with a purpose and help settle the game into a back and forth. I think our defense played sluggish against UK because UK was not very good and we thought we'd just roll them defensively. I don't see that happening against Bama. If the gators can keep the ball moving between the numbers and our defense keeps this a low scoring game, I feel we can win Saturday. If bama scores over 20 on us? We lose. I see us scoring between 13-20 points. Either way, I'll be there Saturday to cheer on the gators! http://forum.gatorsports.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14508 Title: Re: Gatorsports: Florida prepares for Alabama Post by: #1Tidefan on September 25, 2011, 06:05:35 PM I'll say Bama 34...Gators 17
