Quote
Another decisive victory away from home pushed LSU to No. 1 in The Associated Press college football poll for the first time since 2007.

The Tigers bumped Oklahoma from the top spot Sunday after winning 47-21 at West Virginia the night before.

The Sooners had been No. 1 since the preseason. They stayed unbeaten with a 38-28 victory at home against Missouri.

LSU received 42 first-place votes from the 60-member media panel and 1,471 points. Oklahoma received 12 first-place votes and 1,422 points.

No. 3 Alabama received five first-place votes and No. 4 Boise State had one.

Oklahoma State jumped two spots to No. 5 after winning at Texas A&M.

The Tigers haven't been No. 1 since winning the national championship in 2007. The Tigers held the top ranking for four weeks during the regular season that year.

Can't argue with the reasoning. LSU has looked awesome.

In a way, I like the motovation it gives our guys for LSU to be ranked ahead of us.  This debate will be settled on the field, which thankfully is at BDS.

And if BDS is halfway as loud as it appeared to be yesterday, lsu is going to have even more trouble with Bama. I believe we can win but I think the crowd involvement hurts our opponents a lot while pumping up the Tide.

I want Okla. and LSU to stay ahead of us and we can settle it in Nov. Now, on to next week. We have Fla. down there and we will have a battle on our hands. They want what we have and I don't think we want to give it to them. This is going to be a Gator Bait fight to the death. Coach Muschamp next to leave next week with no voice left from screaming at his defense. It is down to the real thing just like Coca-Cola. We either are, or we ain't. RTR!

brent and herbie did their best last night during the game to get LSU moved up past #1 if that could happen
and on CBS , Tony Barnerman and that guy ,  Brian "mr. nobody" Jones helped all they could too
about the only one that didn't was dr. Lou , he picked WV to win so there you have it , LSU was a shoe in !

Bama doesn't need or have to worry about who is #1, all they need to do is win their schedule and the rest is history.

Bama is still #2 in the coachs poll, which is the one that figures into the BCS rankings. A/P...not so much.

They can be #1 for now. We will see them in November at BDS.

I watched that WVU game last night.  I just watched the Arkansas game today.  If we played in BDS next week I think we beat them.  When we play in a month I think we stomp them.  We will see.
