I will say there is one thing I have noticed and I have stated how I would have like to have seen it for years.  Bama has used a formation where they have 2 running backs and 3 wide-outs.  I can't remember if it was Jacobs and Bo, but it gives you two quality backs who can both catch/run the ball.  The combinations could vary will Bo, Damien, Najee, and Josh.  Since they burned the redshirt on Brian, he is also a possibility.  It is also a set where you can have max protection with 3 wide receivers.

 , I love seeing this because it gives more protection to the QB also. RTR!

Saw that last week and against Co ST. Nothing spectacular so far, but I get the feeling (well maybe hoping) that there is a break out play in that formation. I think against Co ST it was Damien and Bo. I would to see both RB's flare out and throw it to the one with the best matchup (I burnt a lot of teams on that play on the ol Sega (Bill Walsh College football))

You are correct they did run it against CSU.  I like the idea of running a flair with one back and set up the screen to the other.  Hopefully the flair pulls the LB outside and leaves less people to block. One play they ran was when Bo when on the route first to try to get isolated on a LB but they ran a corner blitz to that side and Jacobs didn't pick him up.  Each one is big enough to lead block for the other.

to ascertain the differences between Lane Kiffin’s and Brian Daboll’s respective Alabama Crimson Tide offenses simply by looking at the numbers and trends.

don't they really mean Nick Saban's offense ?  :dunno:

I remember back in the day when we had some good QB's but Musso and Major and some of the boys were used running the football first and the passes were set up beautifully. RTR!

Hey Preacher.  I'm not trying to answer for CP but, you can look at MO's pic here and decide for yourself if you think he was pretty or not.

He once asked for my help on a project while sitting at a computer terminal, but before I could answer a girl jumped in and started helping him.  So I imagine he was pretty.  (And a nice guy).

I was at a tailgate party years ago, where Major was in attendance. Great guy and a lot of fun. He was a bit of a party animal at that time.
