Title: Auburn QB Dismissed From Team

Didn't expect this. I fear this may involve an alcohol problem this young man has. What a waste.

Auburn backup quarterback Sean White, who was arrested early Sunday morning for public intoxication, has been dismissed from the team, Auburn announced Monday, confirming a report from AL.com.

And this.

The 21-year old White, who had just served a two-game suspension for undisclosed reasons, was arrested by Auburn police at 2:45 a.m. on Sunday on the 100 block of N Ross St. in Auburn, according to Auburn police assistant chief William Mathews.

Hope their Heisman QB doesn't falter.

Where White's dismissal does have an immediate impact is behind Stidham on the depth chart, where freshman Malik Willis has been elevated to the role of backup quarterback. Auburn entered the season with considerable depth at the position, as the team had a highly touted starter and an experienced backup who led the SEC in completion percentage in 2016 and helped spur a six-game win streak last season that had Auburn in the College Football Playoff discussion before White's shoulder injury contributed to the derailment of the offense late in the season. The Tigers will now have to turn to a true freshman in the event Stidham is injured or misses time for any other reason.

Had to be more to this than an "ordinary" DUI (not that DUI's aren't serious.)  For Gus to dismiss anybody it must be pretty serious situation.

As for true freshmen backup QBs...they got one....we got one.
