Title: "Alabama's Barrett Jones becoming all-purpose blocker" Post by: Chechem on September 22, 2011, 05:42:32 AM Quote TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Barrett Jones has become Alabama's all-purpose blocker. Jones has played every position on the second-ranked Crimson Tide's offensive line except right guard, where he started the past two seasons. He's started at left tackle the first three games going into Saturday's matchup with No. 14 Arkansas. The Tide is grooming freshman Cyrus Kouandjio (kwan'-RO) at that spot. In the meantime, Jones has also filled in as the backup center and played left guard and right tackle. ..... ...Tailback Trent Richardson says he likes it when Jones is his lead blocker and tells coaches to just run it to wherever he's lined up. http://annistonstar.com/bookmark/15616318?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+AnnistonStar%2FTideSports+%28Anniston+Star+Tide+Sports%29 We're all hoping these experiments will pay off. The OL has looked tenuous at times this season when Jones plays the other positions. :dunno: |
