Boy that one came out of left field. I haven't been around a lot of the basketball gurus of late but had not heard any rumors of bad feelings between any of the coaches.   ??? :dunno:

Isn't this month a BB signing period?  If so, seems like quite bad timing.

Did something happen off the court, like DUI, bar fight, domestic violence, dating co-eds, etc?

This has been rumored on other boards for the last week. Simon was not at the post season banquet. What I have read says nothing happened, CAJ is just looking to improve his staff. If that is the case he must have someone in mind and the hire should not take long.

I like the staff of CAJ, Pelphrey and Pettway. I did not know much about Simon. He was hired with a reputation of good recruiter. I know he recruiter Key. I do not know how much he had to do with this last signing class.

CAJ has established himself in the SEC and may be able to lure a top assistant. Let's hope so.

Speculation this this mornings is that the timing of Simon's release suggests that he violated a NCAA rule, possibly recruiting. No facts to support this. Just message board gossip.
