Title: Another Major Award for a Bama Player Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 05, 2016, 10:55:48 PM What a team! Quote Team success is breeding individual success for members of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama senior defensive lineman Jonathan Allen won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy -- an award given annually to the nation's best college defensive player -- on Monday night. Allen was selected over four other finalists, including Crimson Tide teammate Reuben Foster, a linebacker. Florida State cornerback Tarvarus McFadden, Michigan linebacker Jabrill Peppers and Clemson defensive end Christian Wilkins also were among the finalists who attended the awards ceremony hosted by the Charlotte Touchdown Club. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/18214713/alabama-allen-wins-nagurski-award-top-defensive-player  Title: Re: Another Major Award for a Bama Player Post by: Chechem on December 06, 2016, 05:36:07 AM Jonathan Allen is crowned the "Best Defensive Player", yet LB Jabrill Peppers gets a trip to NY as a Heisman finalist.
The Big 10 wins the PR game again. :wall: Title: Re: Another Major Award for a Bama Player Post by: ricky023 on December 06, 2016, 07:02:16 AM Well I know Allen is better than those others, but I can say I bet he would rather have the NC than the Heisman. The trip those others are making ain't gonna win them nothing, the guy from Louisville is going to be the first Freshman to ever win the Heisman. RTR!
