Post by: pmull on September 12, 2011, 09:40:25 AM
After having a hand in two turnovers Saturday, Alabama senior free safety Mark Barron has been named the Southeastern Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.

Barron recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass. The turnovers helped the Crimson Tide win 27-11 at Penn State.

The interception ended a Penn State drive at the Alabama 9-yard line in the third quarter and the fumble recovery stopped the Nittany Lions at the Alabama 35-yard line.

Good call. MB is a force for us in the DB area. Hey Robert Lester ever got his hands on the ball he could have had 2 int.'s in one game. He is still a ball hawk and I don't think nobody is going to throw at him he is too good! RTR!
