Title: "Why college football still remains great"

Quote
Try as they might, the caretakers of college football haven't ruined the game with money grabs.

The high-profile scandals, the outdated amateurism rules, the questionable NCAA rulings, the conference realignment games ... they're all part of how the sausage gets made. But when it's fully cooked, my, it's delicious.

College football never ceases to amaze. Just when something seems certain, the opposite happens on a September Saturday.

I liked the part where he said, "There was a precursor of what a dizzying game it would be when Spirit, the Auburn eagle, crashed into the window of a luxury box during its pre-game flight. Take that, big money."  Curious.  :dunno:

Here's a British newspaper three days ago saying American college football is corrupt. They get Saban in the story (not corrupt) and Cam (corrupt). The Brits like to do this to us.

Sometimes the NCAA knows too much!

Nice rebuttal article, OT.  Full of facts (useless, as we know).
