Title: Alabama falls to Oklahoma on walk-off home run at Women's College World Series Post by: Jamos on June 04, 2016, 06:47:01 AM The weak part of this team, hitting, finally came to bite them against the Sooners last night. Their lack of hitting or timely hitting has plagued them for most of the year and yesterday it really showed up. It's a shame for Osorio to lose a game like that but that is what the game of softball or baseball is all about, it takes both pitching and hitting to win. They aren't out of the tournament yet but it will be a big uphill climb for the team to fight back and get in the championship game but it has happened before and Bama has the tools to do it with but they have to execute better at the plate to make it happen.

Same girl homered that did it to us in the regular season. In 2+ games, we have not scored against Oklahoma, and the only games we've been shut out in, all year.

Not sure why Murph put Moore in to relieve Littlejohn when we were down 2-1. I thought he was putting in Odorio. All of a sudden it's 6-1 and we're down big. Early on, LSU's pitcher was grooving everything and our batters took them all. Runyon took 3 in a row right down the middle without taking her bat off her shoulder. I think the loss to Oklahoma took it all out of them. Proud they made it to the CWS again. Disappointed they couldn't get it done any better than 2 and out.
