Title: Auburn Coach Gus Malzahn Receives Dreaded Vote of Confidence from AD
Post by: Marshal Dillon on June 02, 2016, 08:03:04 PM
Well, he's toast for sure now. Jacobs will go with him, I bet.

Quote
In his first season as the man in charge at Auburn, the Tigers played for a national title, coming up just short against Florida State in the final BCS Championship Game. Things haven't gone as well since, though, as Auburn has followed Malzahn's 12-2 debut season with a record of 15-11 over the last two seasons, 6-10 record in SEC play. All of this has some wondering if Malzahn is on the hot seat entering the 2016 season.

Noooo we want Malzahn to stay. He is the best coach we have at auburn. If they fired him they might get a real coach. RTR!

Yep, and I don't expect much better this year. First game is against Clemson. However, their first 5 games are at home with away games at UGA & Bama. I think LSU beats them at Shug's place along with Clemson. They lose against us and UGA. This means 8-4 on the year. Miss. State & Ole Miss will be much reduced this year & Arkansas & A&M are a mystery.

8-4 would be overachieving for them, IMO.  They'd probably take any of our 4 QBs.

Exactly...exactly!!  After this season he will clearly be Tuberville Part 2.  Eventually the alums will realize Gus is not "it."  But let them take their time  figuring that out.

8-4 is their best case scenario. Depending on their QB situation it could be 6-6, 5-7. Of course, they have 2 Heisman candidates in Jeromy Johnson and John Franklin.
