Title: "Foreign affair in Happy Valley"

The dialect of Central Pennsylvania isn’t quite as discernable as that the Deep South.

It’s more subtle as the Northeast slowly fades into the Midwest. But two words into any Jack Crawford sentence blows his cover. The Penn State defensive end certainly isn’t from those parts.

His British accent is the giveaway, but it’s not quite as alien as the Australian tone in the voice of his Alabama counterpart Jesse Williams.

Sure, the meeting of Alabama and Penn State in State College is about as American as a sporting event gets, but Crawford and Williams add a little extra flavor to the apple pie and ice cream Saturday afternoon.
