Title: Baylor Football Out-of-Control Post by: Marshal Dillon on May 18, 2016, 05:19:59 PM Wow, it keeps getting worse. Read link.
Quote While Baylor is doing everything it can to present a public image that its football program is proceeding normally toward another season in which it is expected to contend for a national title, the off-field stories that continue to trickle out get more and more disturbing. And it’s hard to imagine that apologies and procedural changes will be enough to answer for what now appears to be a full-blown, systemic scandal within the culture of Baylor football. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/more-allegations-more-questions-for-baylor/ar-BBtcTx4?li=BBnba9I :popcorn2: Title: Re: Baylor Football Out-of-Control Post by: ricky023 on May 18, 2016, 07:47:59 PM I don't think anything will come of it. If it hasn't so far, and plus these college players know they can get away with most anything if they are the ones helping to play for National Audience Stuff? RTR!
Title: Re: Baylor Football Out-of-Control Post by: McBaman on May 19, 2016, 09:05:52 AM Ken Star is a pretty straight laced guy and I can't believe this crap sits well with him. Once he gets a kind of "legal review/opinion" he may go to the Board of Regents with some tough recommendations. Baylor is a Baptist school and the SBC may have something to say about this.
Just MHO... Title: Re: Baylor Football Out-of-Control Post by: ricky023 on May 19, 2016, 09:36:28 AM Ken Star is a pretty straight laced guy and I can't believe this crap sits well with him. Just MHO... McBaman there is one thing I know for sure and I am ashamed to say but the Baptists have turned to money just like everybody else. If a school even of presumed Baptist direction can do something that will save a chance at big time winning they will, I am afraid, over step any bounds. Now, you may say why do I say this because our Baptist Conventions in the state of Alabama have turned out to be embarrassing. It has become about the almighty dollar. You want proof, do you know there is only one Baptist seminary that will allow a poor person to study Theology in the Baptist seminary free. It is the Southwestern Baptist Seminary out of Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX. I have to say Baylor will have no punishment for these players. IF THEY DO: I will be the first to step forward and apologize. RTR! Just MHO... Baylor has a HUGE reputation in academics & medicine. I agree with you, I think Briles could be toast if this keeps getting ugly. :dog: |
