Apparently, Chech's rain gear is Chaac's kryptonite. Who knew?

After being disappointed last year by opting out of going then the weather turned out nice I think the kids and I will be there anyways unless they start forecasting tornado's this year... That was the first A-Day game that I've missed since 2004 or 2005... :wall:

Are we all meeting up before the game? 
Many of us will be at the baseball game together Friday, but not sure about NALT.

I won't be coming down until Saturday but would love to meet up with some of y'all...Just tell me when, where and what to bring...

I know James has to be at the stadium at 9:30, so he won't be able to get with us. Where's a good place where we can tailgate?

I don't know the options.  Jamos should suggest a pacle for us, unless NALT has an idea.

The parking lot where we parked for the LSU game is a good place. No charge to park there and it's almost directly across the street from where we used to tailgate. If I remember correctly, it's about a block towards the stadium from there, on the other side of the street.

What time?  Don't think I know exactly where, but if it's almost directly across the street from the tailgating spot (Fitts Architects), should be easy.  Is it the parking lot just east of 16th Ave and Paul Bryant Drive, south side?

That is correct, on the right side of the street going toward the stadium, across from Royal Court Apts.

Was a great day for some Bama football.  Was also great to see Jamos and 2Stater again and to meet some new friends as well.  Had lots of fun and the kids enjoyed it too.  I hope Jamos' son didn't get wore out too bad by my boys... They really had fun with him...

Thanks for the kind words toward the kids Chech.  I actually told Mrs. 2Stater that, "If my kids don't act right then I'll beat em."  I think I have them pretty well convinced of that too...  ;)

We had a blast and this is something my family really needed.. Everybody had a great time, although my grandson is still obsessed about us losing the baseball game. He is not used to Alabama losing at anything.  :lol2:

Chech, it was good seeing you again, as always, and great meeting the Red Elephants. NALT it was great seeing you again, as well. Man, are your kids growing!

And kudos to Jamos' son for converting a yankee into a big Bama fan. I have to say though, that as yankees go, Tom is a good 'un!

Yep, 2, it was a fun time.

Now I'm ready for fishing again.  Was just on the web looking at other options for future stays.  "Value Place" is near you, and rents by the week.  That looks like a winner!

I will, indeed. That Value Place was the one I was telling you about. My golfing buddy from Louisville came down a couple of weeks ago and stayed there. He gave it high marks. See you in a few weeks.  :wave:

The kids absolutely loved hanging out with all of you "old" folks... :lol2:  I think  they especially enjoyed playing with Jamos' son Kevin and eating up his crawfish... I just hope they didn't wear him out too much.  I agree too that Tom is a good 'un, as Yankees go...Kevin needs to step it up and next year bring a bunch of converted Yankees in on a bus... It was great getting to see and visit with Jamos and Mrs. Jamos.  Good people I tell you, GOOD people... 2Stater, Chechem and Red Elephant are great fun to hang with too but boy, those last two are some tall boys... :o  They made 2stater and I probably look like midgets...  :lol2:  I can't wait for the fishing trip.  2, I'm depending on you to teach me to surf.  Once I get that down I'm pretty sure I can handle the fishing part... ;)

NALT, we'll try to teach you.  Hopefully you have the fishing tackle already.  I'll try to teach you what I know, but keep in mind that I failed miserably with 2.   :lol2:  At least he had beginner's luck during the first trip, and caught some fine fish!
