Title: NBA Lifer Avery Johnson Loves His New Life as Alabama's Basketball Coach
Post by: Marshal Dillon on February 16, 2016, 05:58:43 PM
Good stuff.

Cassandra Johnson has been a one-woman Ticketmaster the last few days.

The wife of first-year Alabama coach and New Orleans native Avery Johnson has had to accommodate the deluge of ticket requests from friends and family for the Crimson Tide's game at LSU Wednesday night.

"The list is pretty extensive, and I'm letting her handle it," Johnson said with his infectious laugh.

Quote
Even at just .500 in conference play, the Crimson Tide is just three games behind league co-leaders LSU and Kentucky at 9-3. Throw in the fact that Alabama owns four wins over ranked teams – that's one more than previous Alabama coach Anthony Grant had in his six seasons guiding the program – and that 'Bama's RPI is in the high 30s (37 or 38), and Johnson's team has a fighting chance of earning a NCAA tournament bid.

It says has a fighting chance to get in the Big Dance. I think if we get a win out of one of these 2 and get into the SEC tourney maybe a couple of wins. We should be in but I don't see us being any higher than 13 or maybe a 12. JMHO. RTR!

I don't think at large bids to teams in the Power 5 Conferences are ever lower than an 11 seed.   ???
