Title: Great "Last Thoughts" article by Pete Fiutak Post by: 2Stater on January 14, 2016, 12:28:53 PM http://collegefootballnews.com/2016/alabama-national-championship-last-thoughts
Quote – Here’s the thing we need to remember going forward – and Nick Saban said as much: it’s a super long season now. He said the team didn’t have the “juice” it had against Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl, and I believe it. That doesn’t take anything away from Clemson’s performance, but I see it. Clemson had had the momentum for most of the game following Watson's first TD pass that answered Henry's big run. I've watched enough Saban era Bama Football to know when the team is in danger of losing, and the way Watson was playing I didn't think Bama had a chance of coming away with the win. Then came the onside kick and the big play for the TD, and everything changed. Clemson was playing catch-up from that time forward. It was the moment that Saban and Bama stood up and reminded everyone that they're still Saban and Bama and they weren't going to lose this game.
