Title: Wednesday practice report Post by: Jamos on August 31, 2011, 05:43:34 PM This was the last media viewing of the preseason. This will be the last practice report of the week. The Tide will practice Thursday behind closed doors, and its walk-through on Friday on its practice fields also is closed to the news media. Today's practice was a routine Thursday practice. Wait. Isn't today Wednesday? It is. But the Tide held "Wednesday" practices Monday and Tuesday. It will hold another "Thursday" practice on Thursday. Got it? Because Alabama started preparing for Saturday's game last Friday, things are a little out of kilter. Next week the normal routine will begin, with heavy hitting in pads on Tuesday and Wednesday. That is, a "Tuesday" practice on Tuesday and a "Wednesday" practice on Wednesday.

It hasn't been much fun to read the daily reports but it sure has kept the unwanted media controversy away.

So were we okaying Carter paying his own way and getting NCAA approval that he'd not count against the 25 or what? I'm confused!
