Title: Alabama 38, Michigan State 0: Five Things We Learned-Article

Excellent.

Quote
Julio Jones. Amari Cooper.

Calvin Ridley.

The Alabama freshman is well on his way to be mentioned alongside those two Tide receiving greats.

He caught a 50-yard pass to set up Alabama's first TD. He had a spectacular 6-yard grab for a TD in the third quarter and blew the doors off the MSU secondary with a 51-yard TD to close out Alabama's decisive third quarter.

Here's how he matches up with those other Tide greats when they were freshmen:

Ridley: 82 catches, 1,025 yards, 7 TDs (14 games)

Cooper: 59 catches, 1,000 yards, 11 TDs (14 games)

Jones: 58 catches, 924 yards, 4 TDs (14 games)

Those are staggering numbers I am not sure we will ever see again from a Freshman or not in my lifetime anyway. I do hope his little brother comes here. One on each side of the line on either end would be cause for lawsuit. rofl, RTR!
